Sincerest Flattery

Is this a real word? Is this just imaginary?
Caught in spellcheck, no escape from the red line
Open your eyes, look up to the dictionaries and see
I’m just a poor boy, I need thesauruses
Because I’m word crazy, bit gaga, little verb, little object
Anyway the words fly…

Mama, Just killed a plot
Put a pen against his head, pressed the delete, now he’s dead
Mama, book had just begun
But now I’ve gone and thrown it all away
Mama, ooh, Didn’t mean to make him die
If I’m not writing again this time tomorrow
Edit on, edit on as if nothing really matters

Too late, my time has gone
sends shivers down my spine, finger’s aching all the time
Goodbye everybody, I’ve got to cry
Gotta leave you all waiting and face the truth
Mama, ooh (anywhere the words blow)
I don´t wanna write
I sometimes wish i´d never been writer at all

I see a little silhouetto of a book
Wordsmith, Wordsmith, will you write the Great Gatsby?
Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very enlightening me
(Salinger) Salinger (Salinger) Salinger, Salinger Orwell, Hemmingway
But I’m just a poor writer, nobody edits me
He’s just a poor writer from a writer family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

Easy come, easy go, will you let me stop?
Bismillah! No, we will not let you stop
(Let him stop!) Bismillah! We will not let you stop
(Let him stop!) Bismillah! We will not let you stop
(Let me stop!) will not let you stop
(Let me stop!) will not let you stop
(Let me stop!) Ah
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
(oh Mamma mia, mamma mia) Mamma mia, let me stop
#writing has a fire put inside of me, of me, of me!

So you think you can atone and fling me out?
So you think you can start me and leave me to die?
Oh, writer, can’t do this to me, writer!
Just write me out, Just have to write me out there!

Nothing really stops me, anyone can see
Nothing really stops me
Nothing really stops me anymore
Anyway the words blow
